Maintenance Tips
- Thoroughly and regularly clean/wash fabrics,
upholstery, drapes, towels and beddings, window sills, floors,
walls, cabinets, and counter tops.
- Purchase a HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air MERV 8
– Standard) filter equipped air conditioning or heating unit
that filters out allergens from the air in the home. Also consider
purchasing a HEPA vacuum cleaner.
- Clean and dry out soaked areas of home within 24 to 48
hours of a water leak or storm damage.
- Reduce indoor humidity to the 30 to 60 percent range by
using dehumidifiers, air conditioners and exhaust fans.
- Keep closet doors open and move furniture out of corners
to promote air circulation.
- Check the air conditioning system for signs of mold, especially
on cooling coils. Change filters frequently.
